RN to BSN Admissions Requirements
To apply for admission to the RN to BSN program, individuals must take the following steps:
- Submit a completed application.
- Pay the $25 application processing fee.
- Submit a two- to three-page personal statement that details your goals for pursuing your bachelor's degree and how King College fits into your personal enrichment plan.
- Submit official transcript from colleges or universities previously attended with an earned Associate of Arts in Science degree (AAS) or equivalent college level courses if a diploma graduate.
- Demonstrate a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75/4.0 in previous nursing courses at the community college or diploma program level.
- Submit two letters of recommendation (one from a supervisor and one from a colleague or a previous nursing instructor or professor).
Once your file is complete for review, it will be submitted to the Admissions Committee for a complete review and assessment.
Following acceptance into the RN to BSN program, students will submit the following items to confirm their enrollment:
- Submit a copy of a current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse from the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Submit a copy of a current CPR certification.
Special Considerations
The School of Nursing has a cohort cancellation policy that reserves the right to cancel any cohort ten calendar days prior to the orientation date if minimum enrollment has not been met.
