The King College Counseling Center does not offer a 24 - hour crisis line.  These services are available within the local community, and assistance in locating one will be provided upon request.

Information Technology Office

The Information Technology Office is located on the bottom floor of Sells Hall.  The goal of  the Information Technology Office at King College is to support the educational needs and provide computing solutions for students, faculty or educational staff. Because a college’s computing needs do not end in the classroom, the Information Technology Office offers PC and server solutions that are ideal for computer labs, administrative offices, residence halls and libraries, developing a comprehensive technology strategy. There are three general-use computer labs on campus and one lab designed for library usage.

Computer Labs: Computer Labs are located in Maclellan Hall, Sells Hall, White Hall, and the Library.  All computers have Windows XP and the entire Microsoft Office productivity suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) installed, as well as specific instructor based software. Located in each lab is a LaserJet printer that is networked to each computer in the lab. All labs are equipped with a separate computer designed for use by the instructor or speaker that allows access to a state-of-the-art projection system.  The projection equipment allows students to take part in a multimedia event, instead of just going to class. Video, audio, animation, and interaction are just a few of the activities that are available by using the computer labs at the college.

TORNADO ALLEY SHOPPE

King College operates the Tornado Alley Shoppe as a service and convenience to students, administration, faculty, staff, and guests.  Tornado Alley Shoppe carries a wide variety of school and office supplies, (competitively priced) collegiate wear, and imprints gift items and only carries a small number of specific texts for two or three classes. Tornado Alley Shoppe is located on the ground floor of Maclellan Hall.

Students may purchase textbooks online from any site they prefer: online stores, local area bookstores, or from Ecampus.com, our preferred vendor.  It is critical to know exactly which edition of the text the professor is requiring, which can be traced by obtaining the correct ISBN number.  All course listings are posted on the web site and all text information is forwarded as soon as it is provided.  To access the Online Bookstore, visit www.king.edu, select “Bookstore” at the bottom of the homepage.  At the conclusion of each semester, the bookstore will sponsor a textbook buyback or you may sell your books back directly to Ecampus.com.
Please note that if a problem arises with orders made through Ecampus.com, the student should first contact the Virtual Bookstore Manager named on the Ecampus website Front Page.  Our bookstore manager does not have information regarding specific orders and where they are and why they haven’t arrived.  If the issue is not resolved in a timely manner or as expected then bring the problem to the attention of the campus bookstore manager.

Hours:  Tornado Alley Shoppe is open 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday and  8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday during the school year.  Tornado Alley Shoppe also maintains some Saturday hours on special events such as New Student Orientation, Family Weekend, Dogwood and Commencement.
